In this shot-for-shot remake of Jørgen Leth’s 1968 short film The Perfect Human, Da Corte provocatively undermines the original’s presentation of a heteronormative ideal. Using Frankenstein prosthetics, he recasts himself as a terrifying, grotesque figure, complicating the structural assumptions that underpin Leth’s original footage.
